SCUIO-IP's Bureau d'Aide à l'Insertion Professionnelle is organizing the "5 minutes to convince" competition , a unique event that rewards the best project presentations. A jury made up of professionals from the socio-economic world and higher education will evaluate your pitch.
This competition is above all an opportunity to practice presenting your career aspirations to a panel of judges, and to receive advice on how to improve your performance. An exercise that will come in handy for future recruitment interviews or financing negotiation pitches...

How to get involved

- Written presentation: Submit a 300-word summary of your project by January 15, 2025. Download the document here.
- Semi-finals and final: Selected candidates will be invited to pitch their project to the jury in the semi-finals, followed by the final.

- Category A: Professional project
- A1: Bac +1 to Bac +5 students
- A2: Bac +5 and above students (PhD, DES, M2 Research) - Category B: Entrepreneurship

Category A.1 (Bac +1 to Bac +5)
- Intended for: Students (Bac +1 to Bac +5).
- Subject: Presentation of a professional project (employment)
- Prize: 1 laptop and career guidance from Hays.
Category A.2 (Bac + 5 and above)
- Intended for: Students enrolled in Baccalaureate +6 or higherPhD, DES...) or in M2 with the aim of pursuing research.
- Purpose: Presentation of professional project. The aim is to demonstrate how your skills and research can be applied to a professional activity.
*Doctor: The presentation should not be limited to a popularization of the thesis. However, the candidate may draw on his or her research work to develop a professional project. - Prize: 1 laptop and personalized support for the professional project provided by a specialized organization.
Category B (Entrepreneurship)
- Intended for: Students at all levels.
- Purpose: The aim is to convince you of the feasibility and relevance of your project. It must be your main professional activity.
- Price:
- 1 laptop
- Business start-up support (depending on your project):
- Through the CPME Hérault: 6 months' personalized support with follow-up by a project manager and links with support structures.
- Through PEPITE-LR: Access to a themed workshop, generally reserved for Student Entrepreneurs, and a personalized meeting.
- Through INITIUM: 4 months' support, with one meeting per month and access to specific training courses.
OR
- Doctoral students: Business start-up support with SATT AxLR: Assessment of the project for a possible move into pre-maturation, pre-incubation or incubation, and help with project orientation.

tips for a successful pitch
- Presentation time: Candidates must be able to present their project in 5 minutes.
- Presentation structure: The project must be clear, structured and convincing. It is advisable to focus on the key elements: objective, action plan, feasibility, and impact of the project.
- Jury : The jury will assess the ability to effectively communicate the idea and the viability of the project.
