The SCUIO-IP’s Office of Professional Integration Assistance organizes the 5 minutes to convince contest which rewards the best presentation of a professional project in 5 minutes in front of a jury composed of professionals from the socio-economic world and higher education.

3 categories to compete :

Submission of an application as part of an internship or job search, a further study project, international mobility, etc.

Prize :

  • Support for the professional project by the firm Hays

Presentation of a business creation, association or business recovery project.

Prize :

  • Support for business creation:

    By CPME Occitanie for a minimum of 6 months with personalized monitoring of the project by a project manager and linking with support structures and business creation professionals.

    By PEPITE-LR with :

    – Access to 3 thematic workshops by videoconference, usually reserved exclusively for Student-Entrepreneurs.

    – 1 appointment with PEPITE-LR

 

Presentation of the professional project of a doctoral student in the context of an application (post-doc, collaboration contract, employment after the thesis, etc.) or a creation or resumption of activity.

For category C, the presentation must not correspond to a popularization of the thesis although the candidate can draw inspiration from and use his work as part of his professional project.

  • “Business creation” support with SATT AxLR : The SATT AxLR will evaluate the advisability of a selection in prematuration/preincubation or incubation and will help the winner in the orientation of his project.

Competition preparation workshop

« Dare to Try the Pitch » – Monday, January 17, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

This training course offers you the opportunity to discover the fundamentals of oral communication and a methodology for preparing and presenting a tonic, effective and convincing pitch. Distance learning.

Objectives: Stimulate the creative spirit and leave room for originality

– Combine scientific presentation and surprise

– Use all the techniques and media to build your pitch

– Surprise and astonish by listening

– Interact with the audience

– Train yourself to be synthetic, concise and precise

– Develop verbal, non-verbal and visual communication skills

– Be able to prepare, conduct, and conclude a pitch

Written presentation

Your written presentation consists of the following elements:

  • Categorie choice (A, B or C)
  • Project title
  • abstract* (300 mots maximum)

* Abstract :
– Is properly written and structured
– Clearly state your professional objective and the means to be implemented to achieve it
– Indicates what position or function you would like to occupy (activities that you are going to take on, what skills are mobilized).
– Highlights your skills and motivation

Be clear and punchy to seduce the pre-selection jury!

Selection to the semi-finals

The selected written projects allow candidates to present their project in 5 minutes in front of a jury.

/!\ A Powerpoint or Prezi type support is mandatory to illustrate your presentation. At the end of the presentation, the jury will be able to discuss with the candidates for a maximum of 2 minutes.

This competition is for educational purposes, the jury is there to help you improve your oral presentation skills.
